Basic Considerations

With GauVendi, you can not only strategically set up the distribution of inventory for direct sales, you can also manage and control sales via third-party channels differently.

The following points need to be considered:

  1. Which inventory (which rooms!) do I actually want to sell via the third-party channels?
  2. Do I also want to offer my current categories via the third-party channels or would I like to remove some rooms from the categories or possibly set up another category for the third-party channels?
  3. Do I also want to offer certain rooms / certain room clusters only in certain third-party channels?

Based on the answer to these questions, you should set up dedicated products (ERFCs) for the OTAs that are only used for this purpose. 

For example, if you want to use the same categories as before, we recommend simply copying the MRFCs and setting them up again as ERFCS - possibly with the name OTA.
 

Setting up Products

  • Set up the products you want to sell via the third-party channels (OTAs). Even if you only want to offer one or two products via a single OTA, all products must be set up in the first step. 
  • Products can also be easily found again using the filter

 


When setting up the product, care must be taken to activate the appropriate distribution channel.



Availability Control and Strategy

You can control sales through the OTAs individually and quickly at the following levels:

  1. On House level Availability: Here the entire house is closed for all channels
  2. On distribution channel level in the Sales Cockpit: I can use this to close the entire Channel Manager per day  
  3. At sales plan level: All products stored in this sales plan are closed here (note - depending on the mapping strategy, I may only have to check one sales plan because all other dependent offers are linked to a sales plan)
  4. At product level per sales plan: Here I can close individual products within the sales plan (note: this also depends on whether I have connected individual sales plans to the Channel Manager during mapping or whether I have stored a derived strategy in the Channel Manager).

I can also adjust the availability of each product via Availabilty: This means, for example, that I adjust my Single Business Rooms to a certain number of saleable rooms - regardless of how many rooms I have stored behind this product
