This video will explain to you the areas of the GauVendi extranet and its functionalities. Please note that this is just an overview of the wording and functionalities, if you want to amend or load new information, please check out the respective trainings or explanations.
So lets get started:
After your login, you land directly at the dashboard: the sales cockpit offers you a quick overview of the current month. It shows you the “on the books” data as well as a 7-day pick up. You can enter any day of any month to see the pick up you received during the past 7 days.
Business Intelligence:
As this is a very complex area, please check out our separate video on Business Intelligence, but this section provides you great details of your ISE performance. So worth entering this section on a regular basis.
Unit Inventory:
Within this are, you see all your created units – meaning the real physical units. During the onboarding, those units are automatically pulled from your PMS when activating the interface. The GauVendi team further enriches your inventory with relevant data points based on the inventory file you provided. Each unit is assigned a type, a building (if needed), a floor, its size and features. Each physical unit however can have more than one assigned product (ERFC, MRFC, combined unit).
Products:
Here you find all loaded products for your property. Within GauVendi, the products a clustered into 4 different sorts:
Category (MRFC – Main Room Feature Combinations)
Personalized Unit (RFC – Room Feature Combinations)
Virtual Unit (ERFC – Enhanced Room Feature Combinations)
Combined Unit (Combined Unit)
If you want more information about those, please check out our video “Understanding GauVendi terms – MRFC/ RFC / ERFC / Combined Unit” and if you want to create a new ERFC, please check out the video “Creating eRFCs in GauVendi”.
Features:
Within the feature section, you can find your product clustered by feature. There a two different clusters:
Retail features – features that can have a price tag and that can be displayed (or not) within the configurator. They are separated by space type, layout, bedding, size, bathroom, location, view and extras
Standard features – features that apply to all your units without exceptions
Inventi-Flow:
Inventi-Flow maximizes property revenue and reduces waste by adjusting inventory levels in response to changing demand. It is your automated room plan optimizer – your tetris player that works 24/7 for any selected time period. By optimizing your room plan particularly during your high demand period you maximse your revenue opportunities, operate more efficiently, track unit utilization, plan housekeeping operations and boost profitability.
Sales Optimizer:
This is another section that will be activated for you during the onboarding process with the GauVendi team.
In this section you can update your operating hours to ensure that reservations are not pushed after your reception hours are closed.
Furthermore it is the section where we activate the automated length of stay calculation to prevent overbooking of your categories and sales of your gaps.

For properties working without PMS, the allocation plan enables you to manage inventory on a room level. The property restriction section is important to be used if you place restriction on a house level or plan to close your sales for a period of time.

Service combo is a section under renewal – currently it is not in use.
Retail Strategy:
Booking flow
1) Classic room category sales with attribute-based selling
In this setting the standard categories determine the lowest selling product and price point. Room Feature Combinations (RFCs) and Virtual Products (ERFCs) are only offered through Most Popular and when using the configurator. However, no product will be sold below the lowest available Standard Room Product (MRFC).
2) Personalized selling
In this setting the standard categories will only be sold under Lowest Price. Otherwise, only RFCs and ERFCs will be sold through the ISE. This makes your own website completely non-comparable from other channels and allows full automated personalization.
3) Bait Shopper setting with attribute-based selling
This setting is similar to the classic room category sales with attribute-based pricing, however used if the property wants to attract more traffic to its own website by rock-bottom pricing. This works in combination of creating a Virtual Product (ERFC) and pricing it lower than any other room product, hence the Lowest Price point will be much more aggressive than any other Standard Product.
