This video will be about the terms used in GauVendi and we start with the differences of MRFCs, RFCs, ERFCs and combined units.
Category (MRFC – Main Room Feature Combinations)
MRFCs are a copy of the classical and simplified room categories mirroring the PMS categories. Each physical unit of a property is linked to one MRFC only and one RFC. Each unit can be linked to numerous virtual units (ERFCs).
Personalized Unit (RFC – Room Feature Combinations)
RFCs are clustered based on the features included in each room. Units with the same features (bedding, size, bathroom etc.) are clustered within one RFC. The more features you provide during the onboarding the more likely it is, that only one or a few physical rooms are assigned to the same RFC to due feature variations of those units.
Virtual Unit (ERFC – Enhanced Room Feature Combinations)
ERFCs are – like your categories - virtual room products allowing to sell the same physical rooms in various combinations. Think about this – if you could setup as many different categories for your property as you would need and want for your different target groups, this is the function that makes it work.
There are two main types of ERCs.
Virtual Unites – ERFCs: Sells assigned rooms individually with the assigned product cluster
OR
Combined Unit (Combined Unit)
Sells the selected unit as a whole combination, for example two units next to each other or two rooms connecting. If you have a guest house you could also take all the rooms of the guest house and sell it as a single product including all rooms.
